Walking Anywhere and Everywhere with FitFlop

At 6 months pregnant I am now more conscious than ever of my own comfort. Where I used to grin and bear sartorial discomforts I’m now focussed on only being absolutely comfortable at all times to ensure that I don’t put any unnecessary strain or stress on my body as it houses and grows my baby. With everything moving, stretching and growing it has also made me feel super lazy and less like working out. It’s especially tricky doing a barre class and not actually being able to bend over!

My goal for the warmer months until my due date is to do as much low intensity walking as possible so when FitFlop reached out to work on this campaign I was so excited. FitFlop are encouraging women to walk to work and explore new parts of their respective cities in the absolute comfort of fit flop shoes. I chose this blush pair of trainers and felt like I’d died and gone to shoe heaven when I slipped them on. Ergonomically friendly shoes are few and far between and FitFlop’s have been developed by expert biomechanists to create their anatomicush single – density construction, ergonomically designed for cushioning and underfoot comfort which both makes you feel like your feet are floating and firmly on the ground at the same time. Ideal at any stage of life but particularly reassuring in pregnancy.

I’ve worn my trainers a handful of times but on this day I specifically tried to walk to as many places as possible and not succumb to the temptations of uber. By the end of the day my lower back and legs were no where near as tired as they would have been in a different pair of shoes and I had no rubs or foot complaints. Seriously happy feet!

I still have my FitFlops I bought during my first pregnancy 9 years ago. I was umm-ing and ah-ing about spending that much on flipflop sandals but almost 9 years later, I’m still wearing them… effective cost £5 a year. What a bargain xx
