Having recently gone through a bit of a rough patch with my complexion, I’ve been trying to only use the most sensitive yet effective skincare and the same has to be said for makeup. With my skin clearing up dramatically (thanks to La Roche Posay Toleriane) I now need to cover the remnants of my breakouts- i.e the scars of spots past. To do this I’ve been using Vichy Dermablend Stick Foundation* to give a matte, flawless and full coverage finish. The only downside to this product, and I think this is the problem with most stick foundations, is that the formula can be incredible drying, so not brilliant for combination skin coming into Winter. It clung to some dry patches around my nose and forehead- making them more visible. However, when used in sweeping motions across my cheeks and jawline to cover the worst of my breakout aftermath it did a truly fantastic job at evening everything out without looking like a ton of makeup. Easy to carry around and apply on the go- I’d say this product will work even more wonders when my skin is oilier in the Summer months. My mum suffers from pigmentation and has tried a sample of Dermablend in the past and found it to be the only foundation that truly concealed seamlessly. Whilst the Kevyn Auucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer does a brilliant job at hiding even the most awful of acne/pigmentation, it is more of an ’emergency’ product (and much much pricier). Vichy Dermablend is brilliant for those with sensitive skin as it is dermatologically tested as well as hypoallergenic, and is also infused with the brands signature thermal spring water. So if you’re suffering from sensitive skin and you need a product to do some super concealing then look no further.
Vichy Dermablend Ultra Corrective Cream Stick is available in a variety of different shades here for £19.
