The quick fixes- Spray and Glow.

Today is a hectic one. I’ve got some Victoria’s Secret tummy crunches and squats to do, an essay to proof read and cross reference and another one to start. It’s one of those days where a hair wash and blow dry is out of the question, I want something quick, effortless and glow enhancing.

Makeu-Up

Firstly I used some La Roche Posay Hdraphase UV legere SPF 20 as a moisturiser (as my chosen base for the day didn’t have any SPF in it) to protect and hydrate. For my base I mixed some of the Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector with Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum to create a gorgeous glowing base with medium coverage. On the pesky weekend blemishes (too many M&M’s) and dark spots a little Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin enhancer and under the eyes a little radiance boosting La Mer concealer. With the base done I moved onto eyes, a sultry neutral smokey hue. A little Maybelline 24 hour Colour Tattoo in ‘On and On the Bronze’ all over the lid and a little bit of the dark pink from my Guerlain palette on the outer corners. A flick of rimmel liquid line and a few coats of Dior show mascara in black and the eyes were all ready to go. A little Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy blush in the shade soft pink dabbed onto the apples of my cheeks and some nifty scultping of the brows with my Hourglass pencil and I was nearly ready for a day at the library. One final touch- a good neutral matte lipstick that would stay put, Kate Moss for Rimmel in the shade 08 fits the bill perfectly.

Hair

Simplicity is the key. A few generous sprays of V05 Plump me up dry shampoo all over the roots and a brush through with my trust tangle teezer, followed by bringing my hair over to my left shoulder and plaiting loosely and securing with a Daniel Herhseson hair band (posh I know- a little extra bday pressie from my sister). Simple and voluminous. Flat dull hair was instantly vanquished and I didn’t have to switch on my hair tongs- score.

No touch ups throughout the day were necessary, the make up was stress proof. Looking forward to tomorrow’s post- all about the mask marathon!

Have a good Tuesday!
