Sunday Catch Up

Left to Right- library desk necessities, a whole bag full of samples, the top five products to make me feel good no matter how ill/tired/grumpy I am, Carbocide-Amazing spaghetti with mussels and clams at Cecconi’s on Bank Holiday Monday, Wednesday morning Into the Gloss reading with my daily latte, Milli Millu event in Belgravia- beautiful bags, my newly washed Paul & Joe make up bag, a lovely bath with Sai-Sen sample from Space NK feat. new Barry M gelly nail polish in Prickly Pair, hanging out with one of my oldest and best friends Clarissa at the Milli Millu event.

Welcome to a brand new feature on Tijan Serena Loves- the inaugural ‘Sunday Catch Up’. The idea is to round up the past week, discuss what I’ve been up to and what beauty products and items of clothing I’ve been particularly attached to..

Most Worn- Would have to be my tan and studded Nasty Gal (American website) bag. Slouchy and perfect for the library. Every girl needs a bit of tan leather…

Best Meal- My best meal of the week would have to be Friday night’s trip to Samarqand, Russian and Central Asian cuisine. Think lighter than Indian but heavier than most Oriental Asian. Everything has a unique flavour, my particular favourite was minced beef pancakes!

Buy of the week- Without a doubt the Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in soft pink. It hasn’t left my apples since I purchased on Tuesday. Creamy, subtle toned pink that perks up even the moodiest of complexions. And I got it all on Boots points- score.

Most worn beauty product- I’ve not stopped wearing my Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige after seeing it featured in Lisa Eldridge’s latest offering. It perks up an eyelid in seconds and makes the most wonderful background to a full on lash. Works well both with eyeliner and on its own.

Skincare saviour- This week I’ve been loving having a hot steamy bath with my Fresh Umbrian Clay Mask on. My skin feels so clean after. It bring all the impurities out so skin may look a little less than perfect the following day, however two days later it’s as if I’d had a facial. Super clear pores.

Products I’m coveting- It’s all about Omorovicza…I need the Thermal Cleansing Balm after reading about it in this Friday’s ES magazine. I love a good balm and I love something that will deep cleanse my pores nightly. It is a whopping £48 though. On a more immediate wish list is Indeed Labs Peptabright. It’s high time I sort out my pigmentation and I’ve heard promising things from this little serum. I’ve been loving Hydraluron for the last 6 months so I’m hoping it will be just as good if not better..
