Stripped Back Skincare

Optimized-strippedbackskincare

I’ve been less than enthusiastic about attending skincare events/launches etc these last few months, as I’m once again back on the super simple skincare diet. I only use a handful of products morning and night and the two stars of the show make up the crux of my current routine, and what I attribute to my skin looking pretty clear at the moment.

The first is Skinceuticals Phloretin which is a Vitamin C serum that helps brighten and even pigmentation as well as clarify, I use a few drops of this in the morning followed by the Phyto Corrective Gel which both soothes and hydrates making it ideal for acne sufferers with dry/dehydrated skin types. I haven’t used a moisturiser since using this duo, nor a face oil, and I haven’t touched a clarifying mask in eons. I love how simple and paired back the routine is and how effective these products are with minimal faff or fuss. The only part I don’t love is the steep price tag, but considering my skin is one of my greatest insecurities, it’s a part that I don’t mind investing in.

Have you tried any Skinceuticals products?

I’ve never tried Skinceuticals, but I definitely agree with bringing skincare back to basics – I’m embracing using pure oils, for example. Great post Tijan.
