Sometimes getting up and out of the house early on a Saturday morning can feel incredibly invigorating. Two days ago I woke up earlier than usual, made myself a delicious almond milk latte and a small bowl of Qnola and Almond Butter (my go to breakfast at the moment) and jumped in the car to the Mayfield Lavender farm with my husband and friends Mike and Jill. We were only in the car 50 minutes before we arrived at the most spectacular site. Rows upon rows and fragrant lavender gently swaying in the Summer breeze. It was like something out of a film and I floated and danced around in my provencal style outfit until I was promptly stung by two wasps in quick succession, nothing like a sharp pull back to reality!
For the occasion I wore a River Island off the shoulder loose off white top, a Zara denim skirt, little tan belt and my favourite Forever 21 round sunglasses. I accessorised with this gorgeous choker from Aldo which is my current obsession, I love the marble details and the fact you can wear it in a multitude of ways – find it here.
Sometimes getting out of town and breathing some country air can do wonders at clearing the head, and just when you start to feel like it’s all a bit too dreamy there’ll always be a gentle reminder of reality. Pro tip: wear jeans guys.
