Makeup Diary- Shakespeare’s Globe

makeupdiary

Last night I ventured down to the Strand to Shakespeare’s Globe to see a production of Midsummer’s Night Dream- pretty perfect for a midsummer’s night as glorious as yesterday was! For the occasion I left my makeup neutral and light, just putting on a little No.7 foundation to even out my pigmentation, a little La Mer radiance concealer under my eyes and a blend of these three new eyeshadows from the new (and to be launched in September) range Boutique which is Sainsbury’s own beauty brand. The shades are unbelievably pigmented and aren’t too dissimilar to MAC in texture and colour range. I mixed the shades Forty Winks, All that Glitters is not Gold and Brownie Points to create a light Summery and neutral eye, and when paired with Daniel Sandler eyeliner in Brown Velvet it created a really lovely effect. I coated my lashes with Diorshow mascara, dabbed a little bit of Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Charm on to my cheekbones (best blusher for hot weather- sweat proof!), defined my brows with a little bit of Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette and gave lips a Summery sheer but bright pout with Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti. My makeup felt breathable, smudgeproof and I emerged out of the sweaty tube at Green Park at 11:30pm with not ‘my face’ still intact with zero touch ups. Nice!
