Holy Grail Foundation Alert!

What happens when you mix a full coverage formula with zero oil or fragrance and SPF? My dream foundation, that’s what. I first tried a sample of Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 11 months ago and I’ve been on a mission to find my correct colour ever since (the SA didn’t write down the colour on the sample pot- screeeam). Amelia finally colour matched me using a photo and my other foundation colours in Sephora New York last week and I grabbed it from her as soon as she got back.

I actually started using it at the peak of a very spotty few days and the way the creamy consistency glided over all imperfections and gave my skin a glow without any shine instantly perked me up. I love the full coverage factor and I find it best applied with fingers and worked into the skin. It lasts for hours and the best part is is that there’s no need for any powder as the formula is on the matte side and doesn’t get shiny – even around the t-zone.

It’s truly my dream foundation, it’s the day time, more nourishing and hydrating version of my other current love (that’s SPF free) L’Oreal Infallible Matte. I’m in foundation heaven!

Ooh, I need to try both! I think we have similar skin types Tijan so I’m definitely keen to try. I’m in Australia and they’ve just opened a Sephora in Sydney, so have been able to try my first few Tarte products which I adore! So this is definitely going on my wish list xxx

Ooh, we don’t have Sephora in the UK so you’re very lucky! xx
