Hall of Fame – Concealers

Welcome to a new feature. The hall of fame, where I’ll show you some of my tip top products in certain categories. Today I’m taking a closer look at concealers that rock.

Maybelline Fit Me I’ve recently fallen back in love with this one, whilst the shade range is awful, the formula is incredible. It’s creamy and easily blended, so ideal for under eye dark circles and also brilliant for on top of blemishes. I love how nourishing it feels under my eyes too, not dry or cakey. I would say this is a pure medium coverage though, so probably not ideal if you suffer from chronically bad dark circles.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection This is more of a medium to high coverage offering and works especially well on pesky blemishes. If you buy a shade lighter than your skin tone, it works beautifully under eyes to conceal dark circles and generally brighten the area. It’s also a super bargain and will give you change from a £5 note – what’s not to love? Oh yeah, the packaging! They are renowned for getting a bit grubby, but with a formula so damn good we can forgive them!

Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch When you need a little extra help in illumination and generally highlighting, this concealer is my absolute favourite. I love how it instantly makes me look as though I’ve had a full uninterrupted eight hours.

La Mer Radiance Concealer THIS! OMG! This was my HG concealer for EIGHTEEN MONTHS. Yes ladies and gentlemen, that’s how long this baby lasted me. The first time I tried it was the morning after the night before at one of the Cambridge Summer Balls, and WOW. Ok I’m gonna stop with the caps lock now guys I promise, it’s just such a brilliant concealer. It is eye wateringly pricey, but it lasts so long and it instantly makes me look healthier, makes me skin look glowing and is such a fantastic pick me up. I’d recommend this for more mature ladies looking for an extra helping hand, and spendy feeling younger ladies who want a flawlessly gorgeous finish! It really nourishes the under eye area and doesn’t cake in the slightest.

NARS Creamy Concealer This would have been an HG concealer, if it weren’t for an overly pushy sales assistant selling me a shade two darker than what I actually am. It now sits totally unused, but the formula is creamy and gorgeous. I’m going to attempt to use it as a contour shade to find some use for it, and probably bite the bullet and re buy it in my actual shade!

Not too keen on the collection concealer, it’s super cakey on me. Just bought the NARS concealer & am really loving it so far!
