Christmas Bubble Beauty

Come on you all know what I’m referring to. That gorgeously cosy bubble of family time from now until after New Years Eve. Work has broken up for the festive period, the parties are taking a short hiatus (that is until NYE of course!) and you’re most probably in your onesie. But what about those of us who still want to put a little slap on? Going out for Christmas day? Hitting the sales? Whatever the reason, sometimes leaving the house just has to be done, even if it’s just to go on a family walk. My favourite beauty bits and pieces for this in-between period are a little more luxe than usual and all play a crucial role in helping me feel my best despite feeling rather sluggish (roast potatoes, I’m looking at you).

Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Mask- Anyone else get a little spottier/shinier than usual around this time of year? I blame all the food and the central heating which makes me t-zone worse than a sticky tube journey in a July London heat wave. This mask keeps spots at bay and excessive oiliness controlled.

Chanel No 5- There’s something about this perfume which was just made for Christmas. It’s so luxe and glamorous that a few spritzes on wrists and behind ears instantly make you feel more glamorous despite not having given your hair a proper wash in days.

Chanel Sienna Tweed Blush- The perfect tawny/peachy/bronze blush to liven up complexions and instantly carve out cheek bones. Trust me, after the third day of eating Christmas dinner leftovers you’ll be craving some cheekbone enhancing! Think of it like a brisk walk in the sun in a compact. Truly awesome.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow- Think of this as the perfect accompaniment to the Umbrian Clay Mask. Keeps t-zone oiliness at bay whilst imparting a gorgeous sunkissed glow. Can’t live without it.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick Bulletproof Beige- This little stick of magic instantly brightens up tired ‘too much tv’ eyes whilst imparting a shimmery champagne wash which looks understatedly glam. My current favourite eyeshadow to reach for on those days when you need a bit of a lift. Foolproof to use- just draw on, smudge in with your ring finger and go.

Kiko High Shine Lipstick 802- The perfect ‘nothing’ nude with a bit of shine, gives Brigitte Bardot glam in just a few swipes.

Superdry Watermelon Lip Fix- Worn either alone or on top of a nude lip, this instantly gives lips super gloss that will make it look as though you’ve made much for of an effort than you actually have. It also makes lips look 100 x bigger, no surgery necessary. Also tastes/smells delicious. NB- do not actually eat it!

Revlon Marchesa Nail Wraps- Who can be bothered to paint there nails over Christmas? These fun nail wraps are perfect for getting instant glam and festive nails. J’adore.
