Christmas Beauty Haul

Optimized-IMG_9820

I hope everyone had the most amazing Christmas break. I for one had the most amazing few days with my close family and friends. We enjoyed many rounds of Balderdash and too much food and I can now genuinely say that my favourite part of Christmas is simply playing board games with my family – cheesy but true, it’s the one time of the year when everyone sits down and plays properly!

Anyway, father christmas left me some rather exciting beauty booty in my stocking this year and I thought I’d share with you.

The Game Changing Brush: How have I only just got my hands on the MAC 217 brush!? This is hands down the best eyeshadow brush on the planet. It makes being a total eyeshadow amateur no longer a problem as it literally does all of the work for you. Not photographed in this image is the Lorac Pro palette that I also received for Christmas – but that baby is getting a post of its own!

The Sexiest Fragrance: I first got Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille for Valentine’s day last year and used it all up within around 5 weeks. This time around I’ll try and use it more sparingly. It’s the sexiest, musky, gorgeous scent ever and I can’t even describe how beautiful it actually is. You simply have to try it for yourself!

The most classic Fragrance: Father Christmas knows how much I love perfume! I also received the Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere which is a lighter, younger version of the old classic. I love how this makes me feel instantly glamorous.

The Luxury Hand Sanitiser: My best friend knows me well and knows just how much I love the Aesop Resurrection hand wash and so bought me the most amazing hand sanitiser ever so that I can always have it on the go. I’m OCD about germs and washing my hands, and so I’ll be keeping this in my handbag at all times!

Two new lippies: The last of the beauty bumf are two new MAC lipsticks to add to my collection. Midimauve is one of Kim K’s favourites and the one that she was wearing when she went to the Givenchy show in Paris last September – I loved that makeup look so knew it had to be on my list. It’s the perfect brown toned nude that has a very slick wet look finish, this is not one for matte lip lovers. The second lipstick is one that I’ve been lusting after for a while after trying Amelia’s on last month – it’s Palmful! This is such a flattering berry/pink hue and the first ever lipstick that my husband has complemented me on – serious results!

What beauty related items did you guys get for Christmas?

I can’t believe you’ve only just gotten your hands on a 217 brush!!!!
I don’t think I can even imagine applying makeup without it;) haha
I always insist each person has at least one of those since you can seriously do any look with just one brush!
