After a few years being quietly married and getting on with life post Gossip Girl, Blake Lively has been hitting the party circuit over the last week and bringing some serious beauty game. I’ve been a huge Blake fan ever since I was 16 and the girls at my school were divided into two camps – the Blair fans and the Serena ones. With Serena’s long luscious hair, and the fact that we had shared a name, she was without a doubt my favourite. I’m not going to lie, over the last year I have missed Blake, so I was pretty excited to see her at the Met Gala and again last night at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival!
She’s been rocking a heavily rimmed kohl eye and pinky nude lips. Her under eye liner may be hard to pull off, but it’s more rock’n’roll than over done. It has inspired me to try more under eye liner – my favourite kohl at the moment has to be Charlotte Tilbury Rock’n’Kohl liquid pencil which doesn’t budge at all, so no fearing any transfer. I like using the shade Marlene Midnight which is a little more subtle than black. Blake is also wearing a stunning metallic taupe/bronze shadow on her lids, to recreate I would smudge some Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On the Bronze, as it’s not too intense yet adds a beautiful dimension to the lids. For lips, you need just a hint of pink without anything too bold, I think that the new Laura Mercier Gel Lipstick formula would be ideal! Now I just need to work on that dazzling Hollywood smile to get the Blake look down!

I was at least 15 years too old to watch Gossip Girl, but I love to see Blake. She always looks happy, healthy, open, and as if she’s just having a jolly good time. I love her look here and I’d love to see you trying to recreate it!
