Best of the Drugstore

It’s been a while since I’ve done a ‘best of the drugstore’ style post. And this one is a Spring edition! I’ve rounded up my current favourites to bring you the absolute best in terms of quality and value for money. Let’s get stuck in!

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream – I initially tried this out on my hands, and seeing as I suffer from pigmentation on my hands it was the ideal test. I smoothed the miracle skin cream over my left and left my right bare and the difference was astounding. My left hand was totally smoothed over, pigmentation marks were blurred and concealed and it had a glow about it. I use this as a primer on days when I want a bit more extra coverage and a little more glow. Ideal for mature, dry or just dull and tired skins that need an extra sumthin’ sumthin’.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer This concealer really doesn’t seem like a drugstore concealer. The formula is buildable so it’s perfect for lightly concealing the under eye area (no caking here) and also for building up on blemishes or dark marks. It reminds me of the NARS Radiant Concealer but is a fraction of the price. I’d recommend this concealer to pretty much anyone looking for a light to medium fluid and blendable coverage.

GOSH Lip Laquer – Flirty Lips 004 This is my new absolute favourite. I was expecting a stain but got the most gorgeous pouty, glossy finish. The cute little wand distributes the perfect amount of pigment, and this shade has Summer written all over it. I can see myself wearing this solidly for the next 6 months or so. I’m always on the hunt for lip products that will give the illusion of fuller lips and this product has seriously delivered!

Boots Tea tree & Witch Hazel Blemish Stick I can’t quite believe that I haven’t mentioned this on here before. It’s a life saver and ridiculously cheap. Like loose change cheap. I find it perfect for applying around my eyebrows post threading, it also works a treat on any little bumps I may get as a reaction to too harsh products. Well worth having in your stocks at all times.

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint Prickly Pear I’ve made no secret of my love for the gorgeously glossy finish of the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints, their wear time is incredible and rivals luxury brands. This shade is such a gorgeous blue toned lilac, ideal for early Spring.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder I would be a total oil slick if it weren’t for this bad boy. I use this without fail every single day. It mattifies like no other without being detectable on the skin. I use it on my t zone and around the sides of my nose to keep things looking flawlessly airbrushed. As we move into slightly warmer climes, I’ll be keeping it firmly in my handbag for on the go touch ups.

Revlon Powder Blush Racy Rose My latest blush obsession. Super girly without being too barbie, it just imparts such a gorgeous rosy glow. It doesn’t sit on top of skin like some powder formulas, instead it just blends in flawlessly.

So that’s my current cream of the crop for the drugstore. What have I missed!?!

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough
    time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and
Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and
I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
