Beauty & the gym II

This is the second instalment of beauty and the gym, i.e. the pre and post workout guide to not looking like a hot mess whilst also ensuring that you’re not clogging up your pores with sweat, gunk and makeup. Read my first instalment here.

I’ve been doing Psycle classes twice a week and in between those I try and fit in some Ballet beautiful from home. Whilst ballet beautiful is done in total privacy, Psycle however is not and as it gets  more and more popular, it can be a bit daunting to go with zero makeup on. However, the one time I did wear a full face of makeup to a class (it was a 6:30pm one and I’d come straight from meetings) I felt seriously icky. So what’s the balance?

Firstly, remove all your makeup with either a micellar water like Bioderma or a *whispers it* cleansing wipe like these Body Shop Vitamin E ones, next up I tone with some La Roche Posay Serozinc and apply a thin layer of Bioderma Hydrabio RicheTo keep eyes looking awake I like to curl my lashes with my Shu Uemura Eyelash curlers and then apply a tiny bit of a lip stain like this Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick. The trick is to dab it on with your ring finger so you just get a hint of colour that will last throughout your whole exercise session. Instant polish without looking like you’re wearing anything and without clogging up my pores! Hoorah.

For hair I just bung it up into a pony or bun, it gets so disgustingly sweaty (sorry TMI!!!) that I just can’t deal with it until after it’s been properly washed!

Any tips that I’ve missed??
