BareMinerals Serum Foundation

After going through my weekly Sunday slump on my sofa watching too many beauty YouTube videos I kept on coming across all the US beauty vloggers raving about the new BareMinerals release – their first ever liquid foundation.

Intrigued, I popped to my local store to scope it out and left with a sample in the shade 08 Bare Beige. After just one morning wearing it I went straiht to Boots to buy the full size – it was love. Within 15 minutes of putting it on I received a skin complement from my mother which was seriously impressive!

The texture is really light and fluid – even lighter than Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, but the coverage is simply phenomenal. I feel like my skin has been infused with light reflective particles and my over all skin tone feels even. I’d call this a light to medium coverage, but you can really ramp it up – and seeing as my skin isn’t exactly 100% at the moment and felt comfortable, then I’d hazard a guess that this will suit most skin types. There are a plethora of shades to choose from, and bare beige works best for me because it has neutral undertones – no orange or yellow. I may have to buy a new bottle post honeymoon in a darker shade – but to be honest, I don’t really mind as the more the merrier. I actually look forward to doing my makeup in the morning thanks to this.

At the end of the day things are neither patchy nor greasy and everything looks pretty much in tact, which I rarely find with a foundation  (having a notoriously oil t-zone). To sum it up; it isn’t too expensive, has beautiful coverage that will make you feel airbrushed, doesn’t cake or look like makeup and feels light weight and comfortable for long days, oh and it has SPF 20 which makes it perfect for day time but a little flash back-y for evening wear. If Bareminerals released another without SPF I’d buy that in a heart beat!

I just brought some after reading your blogs and seeing how gorgeous your skin looks wearing it 🙂 Do you wear a primer under it?
