Where Have You Been?

Being the hoarder that I am I keep all my non daily makeup and skincare stashed away in Muji drawers in my beaty/dressing/studio room. The other day whilst searching for a light weight “please don’t break me out SPF” I went searching through the archives of said drawers and came across products that I’d totally neglected for no good reason. Now that they’re firmly back in my bathroom ‘every day’ storage I don’t plan on letting them get lost in the sea of “beauty crap” again!

Origins Oil Free Night a Mins This is the perfect Spring/Summer PM moisturiser, it gently exfoliates and is gorgeously light weight, I love that it’s oil free. It smells fruity and floral and just darn yummy and it leaves skin radiant and fresh in the mornings.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua This foundation works best for me in every season other than Winter, it’s a tad too trying in the colder months and tends to cling to my dry patches. Now that the weather is warmer I’ve fallen in love with it all over again – a sheer coverage that can be built up to a medium one, this leaves skin glowing yet matte, radiant yet velvetty. I also love that it has in built SPF 15, it feels light weight on the skin too which is always a huge bonus.

Skinceuticals Ultra Facial Defence SPF 50+ I stopped using SPF when my skin went through a really nasty period back in November, with the lack of daylight as well it seemed to make sense. Now that the rays are back in full force I love how light weight and easily absorbed this is. It offers high protection without breaking me out or leaving a greasy sticky film like many other high SPFs can do. This works beautifully under foundation as well which makes it ideal for day to day use sandwiched between moisturiser and foundation.

Indeed Labs Hydraluron This is the perfect morning serum and I’m not quite sure how I managed to forget about it!?! I love it’s light weight consistency and the fact that it dries slightly tacky on the skin, meaning that moisturiser ‘sticks’ to it in a really lovely way. It leaves my skin totally hydrated and the most lovely canvas to apply my makeup with!

I tend to opt for foundations with SPF rather than creams as I find that the creams break me out! Will definitely check out the Skinceuticals though!
