The best powder around

makeupsaviourfinal

I go on and off powders, mainly because I worry that they clog my skin and are the reason behind little bumps of milia, but also because I haven’t found one that truly amazes me (asides from Rimmel Stay Matte). I had never owned a translucent setting powder until now, and I have no idea how it took me so long. The Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder is so finely milled it is beyond invisible on the skin, it’s main job is to set makeup and keep things looking flawless and matte. I put this to the test on the “hottest day of the year so far” last week and come 4pm (my usual shiny mcshininess time) my t zone was as matte as it had been when I’d first applied the powder in the morning. It also works beautifully under the eye area to set concealer.

What I also love about this powder, is that it is so gentle and noncomedogenic (and hypoallergenic and paraben free) on sensitive skin, meaning that I had no milia or little white heads. It’s the ideal powder for those suffering from acne or prone to breakouts and oiliness, but it would also work beautifully on someone with normal skin who wants a natural ‘non powdery’ but velvety finish throughout the day. It doesn’t clog your pores, doesn’t give you that weird ‘powdered cake face’ and lasts all day beautifully without any excess product applied or touch ups throughout the day. I think I’ve found my HG powder! *inserts hands raised in the air emoji here*

Looks like a fantastic product! I currently have the Elf HD Powder and Rimmel Stay Matte as my setting powders, both are very good for oil control. I will definitely be considering this on my next purchase! Now following on Bloglovin’ 😀 Looking forward to seeing your new posts!
