Sunday Stuff #5 – the at home mani

This week has flown by and I have another busy day today, but this afternoon once I’m home I’m planning on tending my chipped and rather gross nails. I usually like to keep my nails in tip top condition, but sometimes life just gets in the way and I don’t have the chance to carve out any ‘me’ pamper time. Tonight all of this will change, I’ll be taking my polish off this morning in order to have them prepped for later, and I’ll be using this gorgeous Zoya nail polish remover from Whole Foods, I love that it has a pump where you can press down on it for product, it makes me feel like I’m in a New York nail salon. Next up I’ll be filing my nails (I have a phobia of long nails) right down into a squoval (square/oval) shape and using my Nails inc Cuticle Oil Pen to nourish my neglected cuticles. To prep I’ll be putting on my L’Oreal 7 in 1 base coat which always makes nails look pretty, even without any other polish on top. When I get home later I’m feeling something bright, but not too Summery, so I’m going to opt for Topshop One Hot Minute which is an uplifting pink toned berry shade, to sort out any over the edge miss haps I’ll be using the Nails inc corrector pen which is like magic! It’s also a dupe for Chanel Le Vernis April (wrong month I know but Springish nonetheless). A nice glossy layer of Seche Vite will complete my manicure and I’ll feel restored to my usual self!

Just a side note, I tend to only ever go to a salon to get my nails done in the Summer when I get shellac so I don’t have to worry about my nails on holiday, but every other time of the year I always do them myself, what’s better than letting them dry in front of a new episode of Kardashians? FYI again Khloe is my favourite. Obviously.
