Another Sunday, and today I’m feeling really rather sorry for myself and a little under the weather. I fully intend on giving myself a lovely manicure with Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lychee polish, if I’m totally honest, I find that the wear time on these are better than some of their much more expensive counterparts – Essie, Tom Ford, Nails Inc, whilst they all have lovely formulas, they don’t have a patch on the longevity of the gelly hi shine polishes. So bear that in mind next time, for £3.99 they’re not only incredibly affordable, but you get the most incredibly quality worth five times the price. The shade lychee is my favourite seasonal transition colour and it isn’t too dissimilar to the new Tom Ford Sugar Dune nail polish – but the latter is a tad more pink. As I’m ill, my lips are feeling sore and dry and so I’ll be applying thick layers of my trusty Pommade Divine on throughout the day to keep them nourished.
Yesterday, I felt like having a little break from my beloved By Terry foundation and picked up some of my other forgotten foundations. My NARS Sheer Glow Stromboli is a tad too dark for my current (much much paler – thanks Winter) skin tone, so mixed in with the L’Oreal Ture Match Foundation in Golden Beige which is a touch too pale for me, it’s perfect. The two balance each other so well, the glow factor of the NARS mixed with the mattifying velvetty finish of the L’Oreal is just amazing, and the coverage is high but not cakey. A truly amazing mix for days when I need a bit of extra coverage. Both are fantastic foundations individually, but together they’re stratospheric! That’ll be my foundation mix for the week ahead, but today will most definitely be a makeup free zone for me!
I hope you all have a lovely Sunday!
