Goodbye Tired Eyes

Any Pretty Little Liars fans out there? If so you’ll have noticed Spencer looking a little strung out, exhausted and rough around the edges for the last few episodes. Luckily, she has the most phenomenal bone structure, so rather annoyingly the whole “drawn out, stressed, addicted to performance enhancing pills” looks almost chic on her, but yesterday I had a no makeup day and noticed my own drawn out ‘Spencer’ look and realised that it was time I sorted out my tired eyes. I’d ignored signs earlier in the week, when I thought it was my concealers that weren’t working, and hadn’t realised it was my own dark circles which were darkening by the day. Now I’ve been getting enough sleep, but I’m a little run down and my eyes are the first tell tale sign of something not quite right. Here’s what I’ll be doing today to banish my tired Spencer Hasting’s exhausted look.

These DHC revitalizing moisture strips are designed like little sheet masks for the under eye area, soothing and cooling. You can leave them on overnight if you wish, but I usually choose to keep them on for half an hour or so after I’ve had a shower and whilst I’m drying my hair/checking emails etc. They are formulated with moisturizing botanicals and leave the under eye area de puffed (although thank my lucky stars I don’t suffer from puffiness) and they minimise dark circles (my problem in particular). Pop them on in the mornings before work, at night before bed or even before an evening out. Concealer glides on beautifully afterwards and any dry or dehydrated patches are visibly reduced.

After doing this I’ll be popping on some of the Garnier Miracle Eye Cream which further nourishes and brightens the under eye area as well as imparting a light layer of coverage which then makes my concealer’s job a lot easier. With a little help from my friends here hopefully my makeup will be able to work well again, and my drawn out, tired eyes will be masked well. Now time to concentrate on eating better, drinking more water and generally getting myself back to 100%, luckily I don’t have A on my back…

You can find the DHC moisture strips in Fenwicks, or online here for a purse friendly £6.95 for 6 sachets.

The Garnier Miracle Eye Cream will be available in Boots at the end of the month.

Love the sound of the eye cream, I don’t suffer from significant darkness under my eyes but always love under eye brightener treatments!
