I finally got my hands on the Real Techniques Bold Metals brushes! If I’m being brutally honest, I hadn’t heard the best reviews about them, however, the second I had them in my hand I realised one key fact – that even if these brushes aren’t life changing – they are very very pretty. They feel a nice weight in the hand and are a nice drugstore alternative to Charlotte Tilbury and Tom Ford’s offerings which are staggeringly pricey.
I used both the tapered and contour brushes to do my bronzer and highlighter and didn’t find them any better/worse than the core collection from the same brand. If you already own a good decent set of brushes then I wouldn’t rush to add these to your collection, unless, like me you are also a fan of beautiful items sitting in pretty emptied Diptyque candle holders of course
I have gone from really excited about the launch of these, to not wanting them, to now wanting them all just because they look nice. haha. Talk about beauty addict problems. x
Some of these brushes do sound lovely, but overall I was a little disappointed by the reviews I read as well.
