I haven’t done a beauty post on here in what feels like ages, but I have fallen head over heels for three products (and one candle) this week so thought I would do a quick round up of my current new in loves. They all have a slight Spring feel – fresh, light and new. I know it’s colder than ever outside but the lighter afternoons really have started to get me excited for what is to come, I always love February as it feels charged with the anticipation of Spring!
Firstly is Glossier’s Body Hero duo which includes their body wash which is essentially a shower oil that foams up on contact with water. It leaves skin impossibly smooth and soft yet really clean feeling- it also smells heavenly. You then follow up with the body moisturiser which feels like a whipped soufflé and sinks into skin very quickly making ideal for busy girls on the go, again smells delicious. For those dark mornings when getting out of bed doesn’t feel like a physical possibility the promise of a refreshing shower using these will ease the pain!
Secondly is a bit of a cheat as technically I’ve used and loved these before, but the Ouai volumising shampoo and conditioner is divine and again makes those morning showers such a pleasure. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling thicker and cleaner instantly. Love.
Lastly is one that I received the most messages about so please do bear in mind that this is a first impressions snippet review only as I’ve only used it but twice! There will be a full review coming but not until at least early March as I want to give this product a fair shot. It is of course The Ordinary Vitamin C 23% Suspension. This is like a gel/cream which I apply last step in my routine mixed in with my moisturiser of choice (La Roche Posay Toleriane Fluide which I’ve been going steady with since Nov 2013). It gives an instant glowy/dewy finish and so far I’m liking it, I find a pea sized amount is plenty. As this is my first foray into the complicated world of Vitamin C I need to give it time to figure out what exactly it’s doing but so far it hasn’t broken me out and I’ve definitely seen an improvement in my skin texture and “glow factor”.
The extra thing I’ve been obsessed with these past few weeks have been Diptyque’s Rose Delight limited edition candle for Valentine’s Day. It is actually the most heavenly rose scent I’ve ever come across and I wish there was a fragrance form of it as I would wear it every single day. It is a light creamy rose with notes of honey and lemon to lighten even further. It smells absolutely beautiful and a million miles from any traditional heady and old fashioned rose scents. It also looks absolutely stunning!
So that’s my round up for this week! Would you like to see regular mini weekly reviews?

Hi Tijan! I definitely want to see more of these types of mini reviews, I really enjoy and trust your beauty recommendations
I’ve yet to try Ouai and find the whole range overwhelming so that shampoo and conditioner set seem a good place to start! I’ve tried the Ordinary Vitamin C and I remember finding it really gritty – do you find that? I hear so many amazing things about it but the texture annoyed me xxx
I just loveee The Ordinary at the moment and really want to try some Ouai products
